A MAN arrested over an honour killing in Halifax has now been charged with murder.

A MAN arrested over an honour killing in Halifax has now been charged with murder.

Omar Mubarek, 28, from Sheffield, will appear at Halifax Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with the murder of Mian Shahid Mehmood.

Mr Mehmood was shot dead on February 11 2007. Four men are already serving long prison sentences for the crime.
