A MAN has been charged with conspiracy to murder after the shooting of Christopher Hartley in Clayton West.
David Large, 35, of Broadcroft Drive, Tingley, was charged by police late last night over the death of the 45-year-old.
He will appear before Huddersfield Magistrates’ this morning – exactly a month after Mr Hartley’s body was discovered on Litherop Lane.
Three other men – a 51-year-old from Leeds, a 44-year-old from Wakefield and a 41-year-old from Morley – were all released on police bail last night pending further inquiries.
Detectives took the four men in for questioning on Tuesday and were granted more time to question the men yesterday.
The body of Mr Hartley, 45, was found on Litherop Lane in High Hoyland, near Clayton West, on Tuesday, September 8.
