MORE than £7,500 of suspected skunk cannabis was found in a Crosland Moor during a police raid.

Cops also discovered £2,500 in cash and a motorbike, which is believed to have been stolen, during the raid on the house on Yew Green Road yesterday.

Four men at the address were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B controlled drug and theft of a motor vehicle.

They have all been bailed pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Ian Thornes from the specialist team said: "We are turning intelligence into search warrants and subsequently entering and searching properties in under an hour. This rapid response is paying huge dividends.

"In its first six weeks of operation the new team has executed 41 search warrants and arrested 43 individuals. This has resulted in the recovery of over £108,000 of controlled drugs, five firearms and over £7500 in cash.

"We need the public of Kirklees to continue to provide us with intelligence. We will continue to act on the information received in a speedy fashion."
