The freezing temperatures are set to continue, with sleet and snow showers continuing throughout the day, and into Friday morning according to the Met Office. Saturday wil be clear but Sunday will see the return of more snow.

Traffic around the area is moving very slowly indeed, particularly Halifax Road around the Ainley Top junction, Manchester Road and New Hey Road. There is very heavy traffic around Castlegate in Hddersfield town centre and Cooper Bridge.
