A KILLER dumped his gay lover's body on Scammonden Moor before stealing his debit card and plundering his bank account.
Desmond Lee, 39, inflicted fatal neck injuries on Christopher Pratt, 51, in August last year.
Lee, of Sackville Street, Ravensthorpe, initially denied having anything to do with the Grantham man's death.
But in a last minute turn around before his trial was due to start at Leeds Crown Court today, he admitted causing father-of-two Mr Pratt's death.
But he claimed that it had happened accidentally while they were having sex. He said he then panicked and dumped Mr Pratt's body off New Hey Road.
The defendant has also admitted using Mr Pratt's debit card for a £200 Asda shop and attempted to buy hundreds of pounds worth of goods from Argos.
Lee denies murder and the trial against him continues.
