VOLUNTEERS are wanted to boost a Marsden regeneration project.
Energetic people are needed to help clear a route through Tunnel End Reservoir next Sunday, to help improve the area for walkers.
The project at the reservoir - which has been derelict for years - is part of a major scheme to encourage more wildlife to the reserve.
Jenny Barr, a spokes- woman for Wildspace, an English Nature grants organisation, said:
"We plan to dig out new pond areas in the reserve and coppice, or trim back the shrubs along the main path.
"This will encourage a more sustainable and diverse habitat and should make it more attractive to wildlife in the long term."
People wanting to take part should meet at the entrance to the nature reserve on Waters Road, near the Tunnel End pub, at 11am.
They should wear warm clothing and strong footwear.
Hot food will be provided for volunteers at the Tunnel End pub at 2.30pm, where plans for the project are to be discussed.
