A FIRE-HIT pub and micro-brewery has suffered a double blow after being ransacked by thieves.

Burglars took thousands of pounds worth of computer equipment, faxes, phones, piping and alcohol from the Tip Inn in Brighouse.

They even pinched copper taps from an upstairs kitchen.

This latest blow comes after the business, part of the Atlas Mills complex on Atlas Mill Road, was badly damaged by fire in January.

Owner Tracey Rayner said: “Talk about being kicked when you’re down. It just feels like one thing after another at the moment.

“You can’t believe someone would do this. It seems obvious they knew we had a fire and took advantage.

“They took absolutely everything they could get their hands on. If it wasn’t screwed down they had it.”

The raid left an upstairs office trashed. It means the pub will not reopen until April at the earliest. Anyone with information should call police on 0845 6060606.
