CANNABIS plants were found at a house in Grange Moor following the actions of an off-duty Police Community Support Officer.
She received intelligence from a member of the public which she then passed on to the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Police executed a warrant at around 10am yesterday at the house in Denby Dale Crescent and seized 10 three-foot tall mature plants as well as lighting, electrical and irrigation equipment.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and has now been charged to appear at Huddersfield Magistrates Court on July 11.
Kirkburton and Denby Dale Neighbourhood Policing Team Insp Nick Harvey said it was a great find.
