THE state of public toilets in Huddersfield has come under fire.
One user visiting toilets in Albion Street said he was appalled and disgusted.
"To my knowledge, the toilets have been in this state for several weeks - and I suspect they have been for a lot longer.
"What is Kirklees Council doing to allow things to deteriorate to this extent? The conveniences are next to the town's most expensive car park and near the police station and civic centre.
"What has happened to civic pride? What an awful introduction to Huddersfield for visitors."
Kirklees Council environmental services spokesman Mike Proud said an improvement programme for public toilets across the district was going on.
