A NIGHTCLUB is hosting a fundraiser in memory of Cpl Jake Hartley.

Bed in Leeds is playing host to a night to celebrate of the life of Jake, a local legend and a national hero, who was tragically killed in Afghanistan.

It features a line-up of top DJs at the New Briggate club from 10pm until 4am on Bank Holiday Monday.

Cpl Hartley’s mum Nathalie said: “It’s a celebration of Jake’s life and proceeds will go to the Army of Angels, Combat Stress and the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield.”

Admission is £5 and it’s a chance for friends, family and people wanting to support a worthy cause to have a good night and back our troops.

Admission is £5 and the night features some of Cpl Hartley’s favourite music and DJs, including Alex Simmons and Ryan James, whose back to back mix will be on sale in the venue with all proceeds going to charity.

Cpl Hartley was one of six solders killed by a Taliban roadside explosive device in Afghanistan on March 6 – three of them from Huddersfield.
