SCAPEGOAT Hill siblings Michael and Siobhan Jordan have become the youngest ever winners of Britain’s top magic prize.

Michael, 16, and Siobhan, 19, have won the 2007 IBM British Ring Shield – and have become the youngest winners in the competition’s 71-year history.

Last time the trophy was brought to Yorkshire was in 1985, by international illusionist Shahid Malik.

The British Ring is part of The International Brotherhood of Magicians, which is the world’s largest organisation for magicians with 15,000 members worldwide.

It has more than 300 local groups, called rings, in 73 countries.

The British Ring was founded in 1928 and is the largest Ring, with 2,000 members.

Michael and Siobhan’s father, Mark Jordan, said he and wife Geraldine were very proud of them.

He said: “This is probably the highest accolade in this country for magicians.”

Michael and Siobhan have been performing on stage together for several years and have enjoyed major successes.

They perform regular shows in Britain and have even travelled to America to take part in competitions.

They go under the name High Jinx.

Michael is also a juggler, unicycle rider and member of Zanni’s Circus and Siobhan acts with Huddersfield Thespians and plays the cornet with the Sellers band.
