FORMER Tory leader William Hague is coming to Huddersfield.

He will make a foreign policy speech at a black-tie dinner organised by a group set up to make Yorkshire's voice heard.

The Conservative Vision think tank was founded by Kirklees councillor Jonathan Scott, who lives in Huddersfield but whose ward is Dewsbury South.

He said the party needed to listen to views from outside the Home Counties.

Mr Hague agreed to be Conservative Vision's patron when it was formed in the summer. He will be at the Galpharm Stadium on Friday, February 10.

Clr Scott said: "He is an excellent political orator, one of the very best in politics, and we have been inundated with requests for tickets."
