Libraries in Kirklees are launching a pre-school reading incentive. The project will run in every library and mobile library in the district from next Monday. It will encourage babies and toddlers to get into books from an early age. Children up to the age of four can take part in the Bookstart Book Crawl. Every time a child borrows a book, he or she will receive a sticker. After five stickers, the child gets a certificate. There are seven certificates to collect. Children's reading development librarian Maggie Drury said: "The Bookstart Book Crawl helps establish a library habit."
