The crowds waited patiently - and they weren't disappointed!
Le Tour de France sped through Huddersfield in a blur of bikes, lycra and team colours, cheered on by thousands of spectators lining the route.
Huddersfield folk came out in force to witness the iconic bike race, with hundreds more filling spectator hubs in St George's Square, Huddersfield, and Sands Recreation Ground in Holmfirth.

There were dramatic scenes when Richie Porte of Team Sky had an accident along the route, having to dismount for a minute or two before rejoining the race.
More than 60,000 people flocked to Holme Moss to cheer the riders up the steep climb, with TV cameras capturing stunning views of the surrounding countryside as the cyclists snaked uphill.
