They’re off and running in the Tour de Yorkshire.

Some of the world’s top cyclists have been racing through the Yorkshire countryside this afternoon after a spectacular start in Bridlington.

Stage 1 of the three-stage race was taking riders through Dalby Forest and over the North York Moors to Whitby and then on to Scarborough.

The race line-up was headed by the likes of Sir Bradley Wiggins and Marcel Kittel, but there was also keen Huddersfield interest in the huge race.

That comes in the former of Olympic track star Ed Clancy and teenage New Mill rider Gabz Cullaigh, who are both former Holme Valley Wheelers.

Both will be hoping to put on a good show - especially when the race reaches Stage 3 on Sunday.

That’s when the riders race from Wakefield to Leeds on a 167-km leg which brings them through Huddersfield and Calderdale.

From today until Sunday we will be at the Piazza giving out Tour de Yorkshire goodies and inviting the folk of Huddersfield to get involved in the action with our fun and free photo booth.

All you need to do is visit our marquee at the Piazza which will be situated on the green near the Art Gallery and Library, step inside and have some fun with our Tour de Yorkshire themed backgrounds and props.

Once you’ve had your photo taken, we’ll email it to you and you can share it instantly on social media with the hashtag #TdYBooth. We'll share your pictures here - see below - and maybe even in the paper!
