CYCLISTS from all over Kirklees are invited to a public meeting to talk about issues which affect them.

Tonight's meeting at Holmfirth Civic Hall at 7.30pm will focus on last week's Yorkshire stage of the Tour of Britain, which passed through Huddersfield, Honley, Holmfirth and Holme Moss.

Representatives from local business associations and local councillors have been invited to give their views.

The meeting will also review progress on the expanding network of Greenways in Kirklees.

The meeting's chairman, Clr Martyn Bolt, said: "Kirklees is acknowledged as being a leading local authority for the provision of cycling facilities.

"Public meetings have been held for cyclists in Kirklees over the last seven years and other local authorities now have them too.

"We hold the meetings in different locations to encourage cyclists to attend and to include local issues.

"Cyclists of all abilities from all over Kirklees are invited to attend."
