TIDY traders have been honoured by Kirklees Council.
Ninety-five shops in Dewsbury and Batley were rated for appearance, energy conservation and disabled access.
Cafe Geo won the tidy trader title in Dewsbury, with Christine’s Florist coming second and Lloyds Pharmacy taking third.
In Batley the top prize went to Batley DIY, followed by the Kirkwood Hospice shop and the Alder House Hotel.
Kirklees Mayor Clr Jean Calvert presented the awards at the Lounge Cafe in Batley.
Kirklees Council’s assistant town manager, Viv Edmonds, said: “We run these events to encourage businesses to take pride in their appearance. Town centres now look more vibrant and attractive.”
