POLICE are still hunting a gunman after an armed raid in Kirklees.

Detectives have just released CCTV images of the man, who struck one lunchtime.

The masked robber threatened a woman assistant with a handgun before escaping with cash from cheque exchange business Cash Now in Albion Street, Cleckheaton.

The raid happened at about 1pm on Thursday, June 19.

Police – including armed officers – mounted a big operation to try and find the thief.

The robber covered his face with a beanie hat and sunglasses, entered the shop and threatened staff with a gun.

He wore a balaclava and a dark coat.

He escaped down a ginnel off Albion Street.

No-one was hurt.

The gunman is white, about 5ft to 5ft 5ins and of medium build.
