A TOWN centre pub is on the market with a £500,000-plus price tag.

The Other Rooms on Queensgate is being marketed by leisure sector property agent Fleurets with an asking price of £525,000.

The premises stand opposite Huddersfield University’s Queensgate campus and close to the junction with Zetland Street.

The property previously operated as a late night bar, attracting students and clubbers.

Fleurets said the "flexible nature" of the premises would give the new owners the potential to adapt it for alternative uses.

The Other Rooms has a large open plan bar area with timber floors, leather sofas and raised areas to three sides. There is also a large outdoor decked drinking area.

Simon Hall, of Fleurets in Leeds, said the venue was ideally located to capture a variety of trade, including shoppers, students and late night drinkers.

He said: "With the benefit of an outside area, the proximity to the prime pubs and clubs circuit and the university, I believe there is potential for new operators to develop a very successful operation."
