A MAN was stabbed in Huddersfield town centre at teatime on Saturday.

The incident happened about 5.10pm, near The Warehouse pub in Zetland Street.

The 25-year-old Huddersfield man became involved in an argument with two other men and a woman.

A fight ensued, during which he was stabbed repeatedly with a knife.

He was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with a puncture wound in his back. He discharged himelf at 5am yesterday.

Detectives found a knife in the area and are seeking witnesses.

The men and the woman are believed to have made off in a car, which police have found.
