MILLIONAIRE Adam Pearson is seeking talks over a possible takeover of Huddersfield Town.

The man who bought and sold Hull City has approached Town and Huddersfield Giants owner Ken Davy.

And 66-year-old Mr Davy has agreed to talks – but has stressed he has ambitious plans for Town and no desire to sell the League One club.

Pearson, a boyhood Town fan who was born in Batley, sold Hull City for £10m in June and is thought to have made £4.5m on the deal. He had rescued the Humberside club from a financial crisis and was instrumental in setting up the KC Stadium.

He previously worked at Leeds United and has been rumoured to be interested in taking over Premiership club Derby County.
