A TOWN centre charity shop is celebrating its crystal anniversary.

The British Heart Foundation Store on New Street, Huddersfield, has been open for 15 years.

As part of the celebrations 14 volunteers who have clocked up 114 years of service between them were presented with awards.

Seven received awards for achieving a decade of volunteering.

Julie Clegg, area manager for British Heart Foundation shops, said: "We're delighted to be celebrating such a milestone, both of the shop and the volunteers who work here.

"The amount of money the shop has raised has made a significant difference to the work of the charity in funding pioneering heart research.

"I'd like to thank all our staff, customers and volunteers for their valued support and I'm looking forward to this growing even more over the next 15 years!"
