TOWN’S new midfielder Oscar Gobern has been learning the best ways to get around Huddersfield – by helping deliver new shirts to fans.
The 20-year-old midfielder travelled to Skelmanthorpe to deliver a shirt to the very happy son of Nick Greaves – eight year old Shaan.
Mr Greaves, who is a member of the White Rose Club for the upcoming 2011/12 season, explained that Oscar’s visit was a big talking point in his household.
“As soon as Shaan saw the shirt he wanted one. Every kid wants to be seen in the latest shirt and both of us really liked the design, so we pre-ordered one straight away.
“It was fantastic to have Oscar at our house, we really appreciate him taking the time to come across. He was great with Shaan and his friend – in fact they are still talking about it now!”
