HUNDREDS of Huddersfield Town fans gave the club a super send- off for the new season.
They packed into the newly-renamed Galpharm Stadium yesterday to meet their soccer heroes at the club's Autograph Day.
There were so many queuing to see Peter Jackson's stars that the gates had to be closed for a while.
Town kick off the 2004/05 season with a 20-mile trip to play Stockport tomorrow afternoon.
It's just 10 weeks since that memorable day at Cardfiff's Millennium Stadium, when the side clinched promotion with a penalty shootout victory over Mansfield Town.
And most of the players who were in the winning squad that day were in action yesterday, signing autograph books, photo and shirts for their large army of fans.
There were also opportunities for youngsters to have their photos taken with many of the players.
And many of the crowd snapped up Town souvenirs from the supporters' shop at the stadium.
