SCHOOL teaching assistant Tracey Ledgard will line up with tens of thousands of others in Sunday’s Great North Run.
And the 38-year-old mum who works at Dalton School is confident her first competitive race will be a success.
Mrs Ledgard, who works with visually impaired children at the school, is hoping to raise up to £400 with her run from Newcastle to South Shields.
And she’s hoping for a time of about 2hrs 15mins after six months of training.
She said: “It is my first race but I have been running for about 18 months and I’m really looking forward to it.”
