Two lanes of the M62 have been closed after a crash.
It happened on the westbound carriageway and caused major tailbacks.
The crash has happened on the long downhill stretch between J22 at Rishworth Moor and J21 A640 at Milnrow.
Police and Highways Agency foficers are on the scene and lanes two and three are closed to allow access for emergency services.
The crash is expected to cause long delays and will not clear until midday.
Traffic jams built up as far back as Outlane and Ainley Top.
