A pedestrian who was tragically killed in a road crash has been named.
Elland man Michael Brook, 65, lost his life after a collision with a lorry while out walking in between on Elland Road in Brighouse on Tuesday .
An ambulance team rushed to the scene in between the Casa Hotel and turn off to White Rose Water Ski Club after being alerted at around 2.05pm.
Unfortunately he had suffered severe head injuries when he was hit by the blue Mercedes truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed off for several hours in the aftermath, while West Yorkshire Police collected evidence.
They are still looking for witnesses who saw the incident to come forward to help them continue their enquiries.
