A BOY of 13 who died in a park is thought to be the victim of a childish game gone tragically wrong.
Kyle Thompson, of Sowerby Bridge, is thought to have died in a park in the town after a fight broke out while he was playing a game called ‘slapsies’ with other children.
The game is said to be a bit like the playground game tig, but instead involves children slapping each other in the face.
Reports say Kyle, who loved football and making tree houses, tripped while stumbling backwards and fell, banging his head on railings.
It is thought that a woman who lives nearby tried desperately to bring him round.
But unfortunately she could not revive him.
Police investigating the death say they are not treating it as suspicious.
