ROGER Mallinson has uncovered many stories about Huddersfield's rock and roll bands from 1957 to 1963 for his just published book Do You Want To Be In A Group?
The Planets, the Playboys, the Cadillacs, the Trackers and the Witchdoctors are among 48 bands who are included in this illustrated book.
Roger, who was in local groups himself before moving to London, has talked to many musicians from the past but still has one mystery to solve. He is trying to trace Chris `Noddy' Noden.
Roger says: "He invited me to join his skiffle group in 1959. If anyone knows of his present whereabouts, please get in touch."
