A MOTHER-of-three is preparing for what could be her toughest test yet, the London Marathon.
Helena Housley, from Holt Head in Slaithwaite, is in training for the 26-mile run on Sunday April, 23.
Helena, 43, is a nursery nurse and teaching assistant.
She is also the chairman of West Yorkshire's Ladies' Circle (Area Three), which stretches from Barnsley to Bradford.
She is running for the Get Kids Going charity.
The charity, whose president is Lord Coe, helps disabled children into sport by providing adapted wheelchairs.
Helena said: "I've been training hard and did my longest run, 20 miles, last weekend."
She completed the 13-mile Great North Run last September in a respectable two hours and 21 minutes.
She said: "If I can do the marathon in less than four hours and 45 minutes I will be delighted.
"Get Kids Going is a great charity and a really worthwhile cause."

Helena's opposite number in the Round Table, area chairman Martin Gunson, will also be running.
Mr Gunson, from Huddersfield, is raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust.
