A HUDDERSFIELD travel agent has been named as one of the top in Britain.
David Hoyle, of Tony Iredale Travel, beat off some high-flying competition to be part of the top six travel agents in the country at the Travel Trades Gazette Agent Awards in Manchester.
The competition brings together Travel Personnel from high street agencies, internet agencies and travel call centres, which collectively employ more than 30,000 staff nationwide.
Although Mr Hoyle has spent more than 25 years serving the people of Huddersfield, this is the first time he has been nominated for the accolade.
He said: “Being recognised in the travel industry in this way is absolutely fabulous and represents years of hard work.”
David specialises in tailor-made holidays to all worldwide destinations and also makes regular appearances on radio discussing topical travel issues.
He adds: “It is important that people look for a professional and experienced travel agent when booking a holiday. There are so many pitfalls when booking a holiday and customers can minimise the risk by using an experienced agent.”
