TRAVELLERS have left a Huddersfield playing field.
More than a dozen families had set up camp on the Reinwood recreation ground, off New Hey Road.
The travellers had a number of caravans, cars and vans on the site, which up until last week was being used for local football matches.
The fields are just yards from the police station at Oakes.
On Wednesday Kirklees Council went to Huddersfield County Court to apply to have them moved on.
Yesterday a council spokeswoman confirmed that the travellers have left.
