Travellers have set up camp on a Huddersfield car park.
Several vehicles and caravans have parked up in part of the car park on the Leeds Road Retail Park.
They are using the land outside the premises of the furniture retailer SCS, which has stayed open.
Local residents have called for action to move the travellers.
One said: “It is not the first time they have been there.
“There are kids running around close to a busy car park which is not very safe and the last time they left, there was mess everywhere.”
The car park at the retail centre is run by Sheffield-based Excel Parking Services.
A spokesman for the firm said: “We have been told of the travellers and we are taking steps to get them legally evicted.
“We have had issues in the past at the site.”
