A MAN accused of carrying a bladed object yards from the Queen when she was in Huddersfield will go on trial next month.
Daniel Bleazard (above) from Marsh, is alleged to have carried a large wooden- handled axe in St George’s Square 30 minutes before the Queen was due to start a walkabout.
He is also charged with breaching an anti-social behaviour order imposed on him in September, 2005, by carrying the axe on May 24.
Bleazard, 33, has denied all charges and has chosen to be tried by jury.
He appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was bailed to appear before Bradford Crown Court from October 8.
