A YOUNG woman killed in a crash had been on her way to pick up a pizza.

Former Brighouse High School pupil Naomi Gough, 19, was killed on Wednesday night after her Renault Clio hit a barrier on Burdock Way, near Halifax town centre.

Earlier that day she had been on a day trip to Blackpool, the furthest she had driven since passing her test just two months ago.

She had called in at her Brighouse home to see parents Beverley and Stephen Gough before heading to work at a pub in Halifax.

She finished her shift early and was on her way for a pizza when she crashed.

Mr Gough said: "She was always smiling and laughing. That is how we will remember her."

Naomi was a student at Leeds University, where she was doing a photography course.

She lived at home with her parents, younger sister Rochelle and older brother Shane.

Police have again appealed for the driver of a yellow Vauxhall Tigra to come forward.

It is believed the driver may be able to help police with their inquiries.

Sgt Garry Alderson, of Calderdale traffic police, said: "We need to speak to anyone who saw either the Tigra or the Clio before the accident.

"We need to build up a picture of how they were driving."

Anyone with information should contact Calderdale traffic police on 01422 318146.
