THE Examiner’s Baby Of The Year winner is so well-known even strangers now recognise her.

Ten-month-old Shanaya Cuff won the coveted trophy in the ever-popular competition and proud mum Nicola, of Lindley, said: “I was in Merrie England and a lady recognised Shanaya and came up to say she was the bonniest baby in town.

“She’s a real natural smiler and now never stops trying to talk!’’

Second place went to 16-month-old Maisie Baldwin – who will soon have two new brothers.

Her mum Laura, of Slaithwaite, said: “I’m having twin boys in February and we’ve already decided on their names, Frankie and Archie.’’

The third place prize went to 19-month-old Ramaya Noel, of Newsome.

The winning mums met up so Nicola could receive the engraved trophy from the Examiner and the top three babies could get their prizes – canvas photographs from John Woods Photography, based in the Byram Arcade in Huddersfield town centre.
