THE achievements of young people and volunteers from across Yorkshire will be honoured by The Prince's Trust at a high-profile awards ceremony this month.

The Oscars-style event, Celebrate Success, will take place at Leeds Marriott Hotel on Thursday, September 30 at 7pm.

Guests will include a Trust celebrity ambassador and local dignitaries, who will hear inspiring stories from the finalists.

The Awards celebrate the achievements of disadvantaged young people supported by the Trust who have succeeded against the odds, improved their chances in life and had a positive impact on the local community.

The outstanding levels of support provided by Prince's Trust volunteers and staff from partner organisations across the region will also be recognised at the event.

The Yorkshire and Humber winners will compete for a place on the shortlist for the UK finals against others from 11 Prince's Trust regional award ceremonies.

Overall winners will be revealed at the prestigious Prince's Trust and RBS Celebrate Success Awards ceremony which will take place in London in spring 2005.
