A NEW booklet is out about local history.
‘History On Your Doorstep’ looks at the history of Yorkshire Day and facts about all things Yorkshire, as well as publicising a fun day at Oakwell Hall, Birstall, on Sunday August 3.
Sharing the front page is the launch of the Launds Inn Museum, between Bolster Moor and Pole Moor, near Golcar.
Robert Broadbent opened the former inn because he wants to share his research into his family history.
There is news on Dewsbury Museum’s event to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the end of WW1.
There is also an invitation to people to get involved in a project to track the history of Heckmondwike through personal and social history.
The booklet is available from Kirklees council buildings and www.kirklees.gov.uk/museums
