Shoppers grabbed a ‘real deal’ with an antiques expert.
Kirkwood Hospice’s charity shop in Marsh welcomed Tim Hogarth for an innovative fundraising event on Saturday dubbed ‘What’s It Worth?’
TV personality and antiques expert Tim Hogarth valued shoppers’ unwanted antiques, jewellery and other treasures to raise vital funds for the Dalton-based hospice.
TV star Tim, who was joined by fellow antiques expert Stephen Edwards, was keen to support the work of Kirkwood and he was delighted to see such a great turnout.
Deputy manager Sarah Middleton was pleased with the success of the event.
She said: “I am delighted that so many people came along. We have raised over £300 for the hospice and people have had a lot of fun too.
“I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated their time and efforts to support Kirkwood. They’ve been brilliant.”
Antiques expert Tim, recently seen on our screens on Dickinson’s Real Deal and Secret Dealers, charged a small fee to value customers’ items which was donated to the hospice.
Money raised from the What’s It Worth? event will go towards funding care for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Kirklees.
