Two people arrested after a dramatic 100mph chase on the M62 on Friday have been quizzed over robbery allegations.

A man and a woman were detained by police after a Vauxhall Zafira led traffic cops on a chase from Junction 30 at Rothwell to near Junction 25 at Brighouse.

Followed by up to eight police vehicles and tracked by the force helicopter, the car weaved in and out of busy Friday afternoon traffic before smashing into the central reservation near Bradley Woods.

The driver needed hospital treatment for minor injuries.
