TWO cruise liner passengers have tested positive for Legionnaires’ Disease, a spokeswoman confirmed as a ship docked at Dover two days early.

The Black Watch, operated by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, cut short an excursion after seven passengers fell ill with flu-like symptoms on Friday.

The seven passengers who fell ill were seen by the ship’s doctor and taken to hospital in Stockholm, with two testing positive for the Legionella bacteria, a spokeswoman for the company said.

Many passengers believe the disease was picked up in Russia.
