TWO men are due in court today over the alleged murder of a man at Clayton West.

Both are due at Bradford Crown Court in connection with the death of 45-year-old car dealer Christopher Hartley.

Mr Hartley, of Hill Top in Tingley, was found shot dead on Litherop Lane in High Hoyland, near Clayton West, on the evening of September 8 last year.

David Large, 35, and Simon Keith Mullin, 39, are both charged with conspiracy to murder Mr Hartley.

A number of other people were held during the course of the police investigation into the shooting.

Mr Hartley was found with gunshot wounds on the roadside, beside his luxury Jaguar XJ Sovereign.

Police believe he was gunned down on the leafy lane at night time.

The arrests were made one month after police discovered Mr Hartley’s body.

The victim lived alone and ran a car dealing business from his luxury detached home between Tingley and Batley.
