TWO men have been arrested by police investigating a shooting in Crosland Moor.
A 20-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of firearms offences and assisting an offender.
A 28-year-old has been released on police bail after being questioned over a robbery that is thought to be related to Sunday’s incident.
No-one was injured when shots were fired on Walpole Road at about 3am, one of which shattered the window of a nearby house.
A blue car was seen speeding away from the scene.
A Renault Clio matching its description then collided with a Renault Megane on Ridgeway in Dalton. The suspects abandoned the crashed car and ran off.
A police spokesman said: “Neighbourhood policing officers have carried out reassurance patrols in the area and enquiries are ongoing.
“Investigating officers are actively seeking further information.”
