POLICE investigating an attack which left a 17-year-old critically ill have arrested two youths.

Officers went to two homes in Almondbury yesterday and at one of the houses detained the youths, aged 16 and 17. They were arrested on suspicion of wounding Sean Wilson.

They are at Dewsbury police station, where they are being questioned.

Sean, of Almondbury, was found unconscious on the pavement next to Wakefield Road in Aspley at 1.15am last Tuesday.

He had a facial injury, which had caused an underlying fracture that led to bleeding in the brain.

Sean remains unconscious and critically ill in Leeds General Infirmary.
