COUNCILLORS will decide if a bungalow can be pulled down and replaced by two houses.

Richard Bibby has applied to demolish a bungalow at the junction of Lindley Moor Road and Moorlands Road and replace it with two detached properties.

The triangular shaped site currently has one detached bungalow and a large garden plot.

Seven representations were submitted to Kirklees Council from three local residents, including a petition signed by 19 residents.

Concerns were raised about lack of detail about elevations of the proposed properties and highway risks.

Council planners have recommended conditional outline permission be granted for the plans.

Last year the same applicant submitted an application to demolish the bungalow and replace it with four houses. The application was withdrawn before consideration.

The new application will be considered by Kirklees councillors tomorrow at 1pm at Huddersfield Town Hall.
