A COUPLE of teenagers will play tennis for 24 hours to raise money for charity.
James Finnigan and Joe Marriot, both 19, will take to the courts at Rastrick Tennis Club for a marathon singles match.
James said: “We just wanted to do something silly and thought it would be better to raise some money for charity while we do.”
Both teens attended Rastrick High School and are now studying at Huddersfield University.
Medical genetics student James said: “We have been training lots, I have been biking and Joe’s been running.
“We will have to change our diets a couple of days before we play.
“The rules will be the same as those followed in the Guinness book of records, which means we will take a five minute break every hour.
“We will have snacks, get any medical we need or go to the toilet.”
The event will start at midday on Saturday, August 6 and finish at the same time on Sunday, August 7.
All funds raised by the pair will go the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, to donate visit www.justgiving.com/rasticktennismarathon.
