A MAN was punched in the face before being covered in beer in a street attack near Fartown.

The incident happened on Friday when two men were walking along Bradford Road and were approached by three men as they got close to the viaduct at Hillhouse.

One of the suspects punched the 25-year-old man to the head. A second then threw a can of beer at the second victim.

Both men were then further assaulted, with one of them receiving cuts and bruises to his face and leg.

The suspects made off towards a nearby car wash when the 24-year-old victim began calling for help.

The suspects were described as three white men in their early 20s. One was wearing a shiny white jacket with red stripes and was around 5'8" tall. He had white hair and was of average build.
