Two teenagers are being treated in hospital following a double stabbing in Newsome .
The incident happened just after 6pm on Sunday close to Boozebusters on Church Lane and the scene was cordoned off so police forensic experts and detectives could gather evidence.
Two boys aged around 16 suffered knife wounds in the incident - but police confirmed they are not hunting anyone else.
It is understood the incident may have been sparked by a fight two days earlier.
West Yorkshire Police Duty Inspector, Detective Inspector Simon Brooks, said: "We're appealing for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone in the area who saw what happened.
"We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. Inquiries are ongoing."
It is not know how seriously the boys were hurt but a police spokesman confirmed they were taken by ambulances to Leeds General Infirmary.
A lot of youths congregated in the street at about that time but were moved on by officers.
Officers have appealed or anyone who saw what happened or who has any information to contact them via the main switchboard number quoting log reference 1353 of December 17.
It is understood the West Yorkshire Police helicopter hovered over the area in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
