AN audience of several hundred people enjoyed a Christmas treat from Huddersfield students.
They attended a lunchtime concert by the University of Huddersfield Brass Band at Huddersfield Town Hall.
Conductor Philip McCann was delighted with the warm response from the audience.
He said: "When we started the concerts 12 years ago there was a decent audience. Now it has become a tradition and the audience has built up into probably the biggest we get for a lunchtime concert in Huddersfield."
All the musicians are students at the University. They provided a programme of traditional and modern festive music.
The programme included the Christmas Festival Overture, a euphonium duet from The Pearl Fisher, a solo trombone version of Frosty The Snowman and a number of community carols.
