UNSETTLED weather failed to deter the crowds at Beaumont Park Gala.

Crowds turned out to the annual event organised by Friends of Beaumont Park.

Attractions included performances by Slaithwaite Band, Pennine Jazz and Tristan Dance Studio together with demonstrations by Colne Valley Black Belt Academy and Knottingley Nightingale Cheerleaders.

The gala also included a fairground, donkeys and stalls.

Beaumont Park became Huddersfield’s first public park when it was given to the Huddersfield Corporation by Henry Frederick Beaumont, in 1879.
